KISS - The Formula of Twitter....!

Yes, Kiss is the formula of Twitter.
It is Keep It Short and Simple.

Twitter is one of the most popular social networking site used today after FB.

The definition of twitter is “a short burst of inconsequential information” and “a series of chirps from birds”.

Twitter was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey and by July, the social networking site was launched.

Along with him, Evan Williams and Biz stone also worked in this site and they never knew how popular this would become.

When they first created the site, they were just looking for a way to send text messages on their cell phones and a way to reinvent a somewhat dying company.

The first tweet was “just setting up my twttr” by Jack [@Jack].

Today Twitter has over 200 million users with about 460,000 new accounts being created each day. There are more than 140 million tweets sent each day.

It allows users to send only 140 characters called a tweet and it is termed as the best micro blogging site.

It is mainly popular among the celebrities and big icons because twitter allows them to have a pretty good interaction with their fan base and also communicate to them whatever they wish to.

In June 2008, Twitter launched a verification program, allowing celebrities to get their accounts verified.

Its exclusive brand caption is "What's happening?"

Though the twitter logo may look like a dove, it was addressed as the Mountain Bluebird.

It has four tabs, default tab is the tweets feed which contains all tweets from users whom you follow along with yours.

The second tab is for interactions and mentions. It is similiar to the notification in FB.

The third tab is Hashing that allows you to find the most trending topic in twitter and also people whom to follow and whom you may know.

The Final Tab is your profile which allows you to view your tweets, view direct messages and requests from the followers.

In October 2012, Twitter announced it had hired Google executive Matt Derella to become their new director of business agency development.

will twitter become more popular than facebook????

Rahul Ramfort said...

that depends on its usage da.. but certainly overtaking fb is an uphill task... Fb is famous in every nook and corner whereas people think that twitter is useful only for celebrities... When that thought vanishes, twitter will be on top.!!

did u notice a contrast bwt fb icon and twitter icon?? fb icon has blue background and font in white while twitter has juz d opposite some kind of rivalary do u think?????

Rahul Ramfort said...

well..! there might certainly be a healthy competition between the two to become THE best .. Each one are trying to show their supremacy over the social networking sites and FB, indeed is leading the race.. And about the contrast, it might be one of the cracking coincidence as blue suits the best.. Hope this will suffice..
